Holy smokes, we have just released our most powerful stack that will retrieve images directly from your web images folder (warehouse or storage folder in RapidWeaver speak).

A brand new stack from SymfoniP, symImage Pro utilises PHP and jQuery functionality in order to bring you ultimate ease of use in presenting your images in a RapidWeaver stacks page.

Key Features:

  • One time setup and configuration.
  • Add once only to a Stacks Page.
  • Pull Images from a warehouse/storage folder on your web server (relative url to the page).
  • Automatic Generation of Thumbnails.
  • Automatic Generation of Scaled and compressed Images to be displayed in the symImage Pro Slider. Your original images are left untouched and we compress the images for perfect and optimised web viewing.
  • Choose from circular or linear navigation in the symImage Pro scroller.
  • Optional Watermark text automatically added to each image in Slider for your own branding.

No images are added or uploaded with your actual RapidWeaver project, saving you time on formatting, scaling , resizing for the web page and bundling these with your RapidWeaver Project File when you publish to the web.

symSlider is a brand new stack from SymfoniP. Utilising the power of the ‘Stacks’ Image Stack that is already built in to the Stacks Plugin and  jQuery code to create an automated Image Slider.

That’s right this is all jQuery , not Flash, so your iPhone will thank you too.

Like with all our stacks, we like to automate as much as possible to leave you ,the designer, to just get on and build great sites quickly without thinking about integrating any additional code.

Learn more about by symSlider by watching it in action below.

symSlider is available for a limited time at only $9.95 at our online store so get it fast before we put the price up to our recommended $12.95.

We are allowing you to judge what you want in the next release of the stacks library (FlowPlayer Overlay)
As a reminder, this update will be free to existing customers

We want to address a number of things (allowing also for any space in the Stacks API for more options ) but we will see how this goes. Post your vote on our form here

Work is underway to get some Stack Library additions for FlowPLayer, we are testing these right now. My aim is to make this as easy as possible to add video to your RapidWeaver page … stay tuned

We have been thinking a lot down at SymFonIP lab about our plans in the coming months, we will be sharing with you some sneak peeks at what is arriving but I can’t say for now ;)
